A specially designed custom made cubic, mobile unit made of an aluminum profile system is the basic unit of all Sonic Kitchen components. The modular and mobile system easily adjusts to changing performance set-ups. The Sonic Kitchen holds its own light and microphones necessary to cook a sonic meal It's high tech, futuristic expression contributes greatly to the theatrical atmosphere of the total experience.
The transformation of ordinary cooking sounds into a coherent composition is achieved by using mainly sensor technology to measure movement, temperature, velocity, distance and color. Those parameters are triggering prepared algorhythms through midi and osc, and 'project' the result through a inverted four channel pa'system.
