Jan Trutzschler von Falkenstein - Composer
Originally from Munich (Germany), Jan Trutzschler v. Falkenstein is currently living in The Hague (Netherlands). He is active in the fields of improvisation, live electronics, composition, (sound-) installation and performance and brings them together on different levels, regularly in collaboration with video artists.
In order to take full advantages of the possibilities a computer can provide he develops his own software (mostly using SuperCollider).
Since a few years he runs the radio program 'UCON' with Tom Tlalim which features live broadcasts of electronic and computer music.
In search for new sounds Jan started to use electronics and computers at a young age. He received training in classical piano and electronic guitar and founded the experimental band 'das Wahnsinn' (1990-1994), in which electronics took on a strong part.
Jan studied Media Design at Bauhaus University, Weimar, with a focus on sound installation under Robin Minard. In 2005 he graduated from the Institute for Sonology, Royal Conservatory The Hague (MMus), where he studied under Paul Berg, Kees Tazelaar, Joel Ryan, Konrad Boehmer and Richard Barrett.

Alex Schaub (CH) studied electric bass guitar and piano at the Jazz Berufsschule in Luzern from 1992-1995. During this study he became more interested in sound as a phenomenon, and in the connection to visual media. From 1995- 1999 he studied Image and Sound at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He experimented with electronics, film/video and performance, from the concept of 'Gesamtkunstwerk' - in a Kandinskian way. During his studies he presented his installations at, among others, the Sonic Acts festivals in Paradiso Amsterdam. From 2000-2001 he specialised in the science of music in a postgraduate course in Sonology at the Royal Conservatory. He graduated as Master of Music in 2001.
Since 2001, Alex Schaub has been developing the project Sonic Kitchen. He performed this project at, among others, the ?Musica at Metronom Festival? January 2004 (Metronom, Barcelona and CAM, Alicante, ES), het Paard, Den Haag, NL, December 2003, ?Machine Centered Humans? (Nieuwpoort Theater, Gent, B), Jan Van Eyck Academy, Maastricht, NL (December 2003), Waag Jubileum 2006, Festival Escrita Na Paisagem (Portugal 2006)
Born in rome in 1967 he is a truly all-round long experience cook. He takes every cooking session as a challenge and he likes to mix traditional cooking with new technics as liquid nitrogen and alginate. He has been working in italy,England,france and Holland.he lives in Amsterdam since 15 years where he also runs his own restaurant. He's taking part at the sonic kitchen project as food designer and live performer.
She is the traditional side of this kitchen. Originally from modena ,where she learned the skill of the best making and shaping Of pasta, she moved down to elba in toscany where she has been running her own restaurant. She is a borned to cook type and loves cooking fish and shells she came to Amsterdam in 1999 after a one year experience in the united states She joined the sonic kitchen in 2005 out of curiosity and love for cooking and music.
